Operative Spectrum

The Rendsburg Eye Clinic has three completely equipped operation theatres, a patient ward and a laser centre. The majority of the operations can be carried out as out-patient procedures without complications.

With the more difficult operations, which require intensive pre-and post-op care, we offer the possibility for short-term care in our patient ward in the clinic in Jungfernstieg.

The possibility of an in-patient stay with full-care at the Rendsburg Hospital exists also. Patients who have acute general health problems can be insured complete care at this facility.

We carry out the following operations:

• cataract surgery,lens implantation, implantation of specialty lens (multi-focal and toric lenses), optical biometrics
  
  
• glaucoma surgery, including photocoagulation
  
  
• intravitreal surgery (vitrektomy) and retinal surgery (retinal detachment, macula surgery and diabetic retinal disease)
  
  
• corrective refractive surgery, for example LASIK, including aberrometry
  
  
• eyelid surgery (corrective, tumour and cosmetic)
  
  
• surgery of the eye muscles (strabismus)
  
  
• retinal laser treatment of infants
  
  
• laser treatment of the retina with Argon-Laser(retinal holes, diabetes, and diseased retinal blood vessels)
  
  
• laser treatment with YAG-Laser(after-cataracts, glaucoma)
  
  
• treatment of macula disease with intravitreal injections
